It’s that time again….National Iced Tea Day is June 10th, 2021. According to National Day Calendar there are over 1500 National Days celebrated in the United States.
Surprisingly there are many different ways to enjoy a cool tall glass of iced tea on a hot summer day. While black tea is the most popular, some folks enjoy green tea, or even making their own iced tea drinks with ingredients like lemons, basil, peaches, blackberries, lime, and even coconuts.
According to Bright and Brewtiful, ice tea can have positive effects on health such as boosting antioxidants, improving memory, and even protecting against heart disease.

Iced tea is also big business in the United States. Companies like Gold Peak, Lipton, and Snapple generate millions of dollars in revenue each year from their tea products. According to statista.com total tea sales were estimated to amount to 13.12 billion U.S. dollars in 2019. We can all drink to that! In any one given day, more than half of Americans consume tea in some way or fashion.
